Nursing
&placements
Allzone is well aware of
the current and projected
problems facing the healthcare
industry as a result of
the nursing shortage in
the US . Allzone recruits
foreign nurses from countries
like India and Philippines
as an alternative solution.
Registered Nurses with required
qualification and skill
set are idenssstified, screened
and interviewed as a part
of our selection process.
We work closely with our
hospital partners every
step to ensure they get
the right candidate at the
right time.
Nursing Placements
Welcome to the Nursing Placements
Resource pages.
These pages are designed
to provide you with information
on the main locations where
placements are situated
in the region and on the
main contacts that you may
need to contact during these
placements.
In addition you will find
links to some major transport
providers, associated Health
and Education service providers,
and some useful local information
sites.
We hope you will find this
resource useful.
Nursing Electives
Our nursing electives are
designed specifically to
offer nurses and student
nurses a really practical
experience of nursing in
the developing world. A
Work the World nursing elective
placement will give you
an unforgettable few weeks,
and enhance your confidence
and experience as well as
your CV.
The benefits of
choosing Work the World
for your nursing elective
include:
• A guaranteed hospital
placement, individually
organised by our professional
staff in your chosen country
• The security, freedom
and social atmosphere of
living in a Work the World
house
• All your food and
other living costs during
the placement
• Expert advice from
our highly experienced UK
team before you go
• Support from our
overseas staff teams throughout
your placement
We pride ourselves on the
value for money that our
nursing electives offer,
and the peace of mind we
give you in knowing that
everything is properly organised
won’t cost you significantly
more than trying to arrange
everything yourself.
In all of our destinations
we have partnerships with
a wide range of hospitals
and clinics that allow us
to tailor each individual
nursing elective placement
to match your specific requirements.
While many of the students
on our programmes are looking
for a general experience
of nursing in their chosen
country, there is always
the opportunity to work
in a specific department
or field, such as paediatric
nursing.
We also have opportunities
for you to get involved
in outreach projects outside
of the hospitals, working
with community health workers
and local NGOs. Our own
HIV & AIDS Outreach
Projects, run in partnership
with the SDA Medical Centre
in Tanzania, are particularly
popular and can be combined
with a hospital placement
to ensure you meet the clinical
requirements for your nursing
elective.
Placements are totally flexible,
allowing you to start and
finish exactly when you
want to, and we can usually
organise placements at very
short notice. Our experienced
staff team are always happy
to answer any questions
you have, or just to chat
about destinations and opportunities
for your elective, whether
or not you end up joining
one of our programmes. Please
email or give us a call.
